How time is counted

Onsite work has a one hour minimum, then it is billed in 30 minute blocks. Remote support has a 15 minute minimum and is billed in 15 minute blocks, because a quick remote fix should cost what a quick remote fix is worth. Time starts when the work starts, not when the car leaves Robina.

Estimates and overruns

You get a realistic estimate of hours before the visit is booked. If the job turns out bigger than estimated, you hear about it before the extra time is spent, not when the invoice arrives. You can stop at the estimate if you want to.

Parts and hardware

Parts are quoted separately before anything is ordered, and you can supply your own if you would rather. There is no markup hidden in the labour rate. Recommendations are what the job needs, not what has the best margin.

If it cannot be fixed

Sometimes the honest answer is that the machine is not worth repairing. Diagnostic time is billed, but you get a clear recommendation and a rough figure for a replacement rather than a repair that costs more than the computer is worth.

Payment

Bank transfer or card. An itemised invoice is sent on completion, listing time, parts and any travel, with the total. No deposits for standard work. Fixed-scope projects may be split into a deposit and a completion payment, agreed up front.
